Activists for Yemen have launched an awareness campaign on social network sites, aimed at inhabitants of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates under the name “For Your safety: Stay away from airports and military locations.”

The campaigners aim to reach the civilian inhabitants in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as well as vistors and tourists there, in order to maintain their safety. The activists stressed the need to heed the warnings of the Yemeni army and to take them very seriously.

The campaigners called on all users of social network sites and the internet to participate and contribute to the delivery of the campaign.

They pointed out that the campaign comes in order to convey the Yemeni army’s warning that it will target military sites and vital airport infrastructure in the invading nations, in retaliation to the ongoing war against Yemen. The Yemeni Armed Forces have clarified that they will do everything they can to avoid civilian casualties, and therefore warn civilians to stay away from announced targets.

SANA’A -Yemeni army forces and fighters from allied Popular Committees have launched a string of airstrikes at Saudi military positions in the kingdom’s Southern regions, in retaliation for the Riyadh regime’s deadly military campaign against their country.

Spokesman for Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e stated on Tuesday evening that Yemeni troops and their allies had carried out aerial assaults against designated targets at Jizan Airport and Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s Southwestern province of Asir, using a squadron of domestically-manufactured Qasef-2K combat drones, Yemeni News reported.

Sare’e further noted that the attacks led to the suspension of flights at the airports.

“The attacks on Abha and Jizan airports are in response to the crimes of Saudi-led aggressors and the ongoing siege on Yemen, which has now entered its fifth year,” the top Yemeni military official added.

Saree then called on civilians and businesses to stay away from Saudi airports and military sites, stating that they are legitimate targets as long as the Saudi-led military aggression and the blockade of Yemen continues.
