SANA’A – Several dozens of Sudanese mercenaries were killed on Saturday, as Yemeni Armed Forces carried out an attack against the hired forces in the Asir border province.

The Yemeni attack targeted the Sudanese mercenaries at the Alib crossing. Despite at least 13 airstrikes by Saudi warplanes, the Yemeni forces gained a clear victory, killing scores of mercenaries.

Sudan has been a major supplied of mercenary forces to the Saudi-led invasion force since 2015, but calls are rising in the African country to put an end to this arrangement, which has cost the life of countless of Sudanese nationals in battle against Yemen.
