Mohammed al-Houthi: International tolerance encourages invaders to commit crimes against Yemen

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, the head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, has stated that the international community shares part of the blame for Yemen’s suffering, as its tolerance for Saudi war crimes against Yemen is de facto encouraging the invaders to increase their crimes against the people of Yemen.

SANA’A – Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, the head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, has stressed that the blame for the continued crimes of the Saudi-led invaders against Yemen is also with the international community as a whole. All-Houthi emphasized that the international tolerance for and acceptance of the Saudi campaign of aggression and terrorism has encouraged the invaders to continue their crimes against Yemen.

“International food stores were targeted today in Hodeidah in an indicator of the implementation of the plan of the US-Saudi aggression and its allies to make stores, silos and densely populated neighborhoods into “legitimate targets” for their terrorist operations,” the leader of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee spoke on Friday.

“The destruction of a food storage facility due to the fighting in the coastal city of Hodeidah could threaten to disrupt the efforts to feed millions in Yemen. All organizations must continue their work so as not to allow aggression to reach their targets in starving citizens.”

On Friday, the Saudi aggressors bombed a storage facility of the World Food Programme with howitzer shells, destroying massive quantities of food meant to be distributed amongst the poor and hungry of Yemen. Only one day before, Mohammed al-Houthi had warned for such a thing to happen, having said: “there is a plan by the US-Saudi aggression and its allies to target the warehouses of international aid organizations and mills in Hodeidah, in addition to the random targeting of housing densely populated.”

The city of Hodeidah and its surroundings is the last remaining lifeline for food and humanitarian aid to at least 17 million Yemeni civilians. The Saudi aggression forces have been attacking the city for months, in an effort to starve Yemen into submission.

SANA’A – The situation in Hodeidah, despite heavy attacks by the Saudi-led coalition, is heavily in favour of the national forces defending the city. This is what Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, member of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah, said during a televised interview by Al-Jazeera.

During an interview with the Qatar-based news agency, al-Bukhaiti stated that the Yemeni Armed Forces have made great progress on numerous fronts in Hodeidah province, and has inflicted heavy casualties on the invaders.

Despite ongoing hostilities in Hodeidah, marking the fourth major attempt by Saudi Arabia to take the city, the situation on the ground shows that the national defence forces are heavily in favour, the Ansarullah bureau member said.

Al-Bukhaiti also called on the Yemeni people to redouble their efforts in order to force the Saudi-led invaders to consider a peaceful solution.

Saudi Arabia has been trying to capture Hodeidah for months, with each attempt ending in abject failure and heavy casualties amongst the invaders.
