Mohammed al-Houthi: Yemenis ready to defend their homeland from occupation

SANA’A – Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, the head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, has commented on the Saudi plan to launch a third mass attack on the port city of Hodeidah, stating that the defenders of Yemen are “not worried at all”.

Al-Houthi made the remark on Monday, stating that the Armed Forces and Popular Committees of Yemen are more than ready to stand their ground in response to any Saudi ground offensives towards Hodeidah.

“The Yemeni people ready and moving to defend their homeland against the occupation forces on all fronts,” the statement read.

The reaction by Mohammed al-Houthi comes after Monday’s announcement by Saudi Arabia that they will launch yet another ground attack with the goal of capturing Hodeidah. The Saudi-led invaders have made the western port city their main objective, aiming to force Yemen to surrender by blocking food and humanitarian aid deliveries to over 17 million Yemenis.

The Saudis and their mercenaries have already launched two previous offensives against Hodeidah, with both resulting in crushing defeat.
