New intel reveals Yemeni missile strike on Riyadh was highly successful

SANA’A – According to a report by Yemen News Agency, sources within the Saudi intelligence services have confirmed that at least one Yemeni missile that was fired at Riyadh on Sunday night, struck its intended target with high precision.

The building that was hit is reportedly right next to the Saudi Ministry of Defence, and contained offices of the military intelligence as well as a new secret office that was intended to be used by Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman himself. The report also stated that the strike caused a major blast that caused a power blackout in the area adjacant to the Defence Ministry.

The explosion also damaged other nearby offices, including some buildings that had already been hit in an earlier retaliation attack carried out on April 11. The sources furthermore confirmed that the Saudi air defences did indeed try to intercept the Yemeni missile, but the Patriot missile defence system reportedly failed in its duty.
