Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi congratulates Yemenis for mass Al-Quds Day rallies

SANA’A – The Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, has congratulated the people of Yemen for their mass attendance during the commemoration rallies for Al-Quds Day on Friday.

Al-Quds Day, held annually on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan, is a day of support for the liberation of Palestine and the city of Jerusalem (called Al-Quds in Arabic). The people of Yemen have been one of the most active participants to this event for years, and also this time huge numbers of Yemenis took to the streets in the capital of Sana’a and many other places in the country.

Sayyid al-Houthi hailed the mass attendance of the Yemenis for this important event, stating that the turnout in Yemen far surpassed that of any other Arab nation, and this despite the hardships the Yemenis have had to endure on a daily basis.

“This presence reflects a high awareness, an interaction (…) and a sense of responsibility, and expresses the great values of Yemeni people,” the Leader of the Revolution said, concluding with the words: “I ask Allah to bless you, to write your reward, to have mercy on our righteous martyrs, to heal our wounded, and to grant us victory.”
