UAE sends reinforcements to occupy Socotra island

SOCOTRA – Sources in the South of Yemen have said on Wednesday that the United Arab Emirates occupation forces have sent a ship loaded with military reinforcements towards Socotra island, which is located in the Arabian Sea.

These reinforcements reportedly include at least 80 modern military vehicles, and are supposed to reinforce the mercenaries of the so-called Socotra Elite Forces.

The sources also added that the UAE aims to extend its influence and domination over the island in order to loot its wealth.

Abu Dhabi has its own strategic objectives in the war on Yemen aiming to take over the provinces of Mahra and Socotra, both of whom overlook the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean
