Yemeni Army launches offensive against occupiers in West Coast

SANA’A – The Armed Forces and Popular Committees of Yemen have launched an offensive on Tuesday aimed at liberating the West Coast line from Saudi-backed occupation troops. The offensive is specifically aimed at the Hays district in Hodeidah province. Hays was occupied by the Saudi invaders in February.

The initial attack, has so far killed and injured dozens of Saudi forces and mercenaries, according to reports by Yemen Press Agency. The artillery of the Yemeni army meanwhile has been shelling Saudi positions in Tuhita district.

Hodeidah province has been partially occupied by the Saudi invasion troops since December 2017, although the key port city of Hodeidah itself remains free under the rule of the National Salvation Government.
