Yemeni army repels coalition’s attack in Jawf
JAWF – The Yemeni army on Sunday repelled an attack carried out by mercenaries loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Jawf province, northern Yemen. This was confirmed by Yemen Press Agency based on military sources.
The battle, which took place in Khub Washaef district area left dozens of the mercenaries dead and wounded, the sources said.
According to the sources, the attack lasted for several hours but without making any progress on the ground despite intensive participation of coalition warplanes and Apache to back its mercenaries during their foiled attack.
The sources confirmed that three military vehicles loaded with mercenaries were destroyed in the same district with explosive devices planted by army’s engineering unit, killing all their crew members.
