Huge fire breaks out in Yemen’s Aden refineries
ADEN – A huge fire broke out on Friday night in oil refineries in Aden, southern Yemen, which is under the control of the United Arab Emirates occupation forces. This was confirmed by Yemen Press Agency based on local sources.
According to the sources, the fire broke out inside one of the company’s reservoirs, which contained oil residues.
The fire is extending, and firefighters have been able to extinguish the blaze.
As the sources pointed out, the reason for the rise of the flames was the residue of the oil derivatives that were stored inside the reservoir.
The sources indicated that the fire may extend and devour nearby reservoirs, where there are quantities of oil derivatives.
The sources said the cause of the fire was still unknown.
Earlier in the last month, explosives, mines and rockets stored underground near the Aden refineries company were found.
