US, British forces reported participating in Saudi attacks on Mahrah province

Published

on

Local sources have confirmed on Tuesday that a group of US and British military forces participated in the storming several houses belonging to a number of citizens in the Al-Ghaida district of Mahrah province in eastern Yemen.

According to the sources a joint US-Saudi armed team dressed in military uniforms raided a house in the neighborhood and arrested a group of citizens on charges of belonging to al-Qaeda.

The same sources explained that among the detainees are a group of women who were taken to the headquarters of the Saudi occupation forces in Al-Mahrah.

If these reports are true, it would mean that US and British forces are directly and illegally interfering in the conflict on the side of the Saudi-led invaders, thus violating the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen.

SANA’A -Yemeni army forces and fighters from allied Popular Committees have launched a string of airstrikes at Saudi military positions in the kingdom’s Southern regions, in retaliation for the Riyadh regime’s deadly military campaign against their country.

Spokesman for Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e stated on Tuesday evening that Yemeni troops and their allies had carried out aerial assaults against designated targets at Jizan Airport and Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s Southwestern province of Asir, using a squadron of domestically-manufactured Qasef-2K combat drones, Yemeni News reported.

Sare’e further noted that the attacks led to the suspension of flights at the airports.

“The attacks on Abha and Jizan airports are in response to the crimes of Saudi-led aggressors and the ongoing siege on Yemen, which has now entered its fifth year,” the top Yemeni military official added.

Saree then called on civilians and businesses to stay away from Saudi airports and military sites, stating that they are legitimate targets as long as the Saudi-led military aggression and the blockade of Yemen continues.
