Yemeni attack leaves heavy casualties on mercenaries in Jawf
JAWF – A number of Saudi-hired mercenaries were killed and others were wounded on Saturday in an attack carried by the Yemeni army and popular committees on their positions in Jawf province, northern Yemen, while the engineering unit destroyed two military pick-ups loaded with mercenaries of them in the same province. According to the official, the army and the popular committees launched an offensive operation targeting mercenary positions in Waqz front in al-Maslub district, leaving mercenaries dead and wounded in large numbers.
The engineering unit of the army destroyed two military pick-ups with explosives devices on the Khalifin front in Khub Washaef, killing and injuring all their crew members, the official added.
On Friday, the engineering units managed to destroy a military vehicle of mercenaries in Yatamah front of the same district, killing and injuring those on board.
